The best way to convert a fraction into a decimal, other than plugging it into a calculator, is to convert the denominator into a multiple of ##10##.
In this case we can easily change ##25## into ##100## by multiplying the numerator and denominator by ##4##.
##(18*4)/(25*4)=72/100##
These means we have ##72## hundredths or ##0.72##

With denominators that aren’t as easily converted, you need to find the closest multiple of ##10## that is larger than that number.
For example if you have ##3/8##, the closest multiple of ##10## that is larger than ##8## is ##10##. So you would have to find a number you can multiply ##8## by to get ##10##.
