This is a formal paper using APA format. This paper will be 5- 6 pages. This is excluding the title page and reference list. No abstract is needed.

Students will elaborate on their drafted professional nursing issue topic.  They will add 2 articles to their reference list for a total of 6 peer reviewed journal articles (all within last 5 years) all relevant to their research topic.

Guidelines for writing the paper:

1.    Introduction: Introduce the topic and why it is an issue in nursing. Include a thesis (purpose) statement.
2.    Review of Literature: Describe the issue you have selected using the articles you have chosen from your search.
Do not include your opinions or experiences here; use the published literature to identify how the issues impact professional nursing.
3.    Discussion: Describe how the issues you have described in your literature review affect the values and beliefs you described in the earlier sections of your paper and how your values and beliefs impact the issues.
4.    Conclusion: Summarize the main points of your paper.

Research Paper- Presentation (10 pts)- Due Wk. 7

Students will design a voice over power point presentation to discuss their paper topic.

Guidelines for preparing the presentation:

1.    The presentation should be professional and concise.

2.    Slides should have bullet points or sentences (not paragraphs) that summarize your key points.

a.    Title slide.
b.    Introduction: 1 slide, why the topic is important or why you chose it.
c.    Review of literature 2-3 slides, what did you find in your research.
d.    Discussion: 1-2 slides, how does it affect nursing.
e.    Conclusion: 1 slide, summarize the presentation.
f.     References: 1 slide, references should be in APA format.
3.    The voice over portion should describe the bullet points in more detail, as if you were presenting this to the class.
