What is the absolute value of negative one and one-third?

##abs(-1 1/3) = 1 1/3##

The absolute of a negative number is the number without the negative sign.
To be more precise, the absolute of a negative number, ##x < 0##, can be obtained by multiplying ##-1##, i.e. ##abs(x) = -x##.
